Welcome to our recent new member - Collins Seafood
We are delighted to announce that Collins Seafoods are now members of FASFA. The main office is based in Newton Aycliffe and is led by Managing Director Craig English.
Executive Director, Julie Waites commented ‘ I am pleased to be working closer with Collins Seafoods, who are part of the Seagold Group owned by Samherji. It will be great to work with Craig and the team, and to represent them as a FASFA member at the various forums and working groups I attend to support FASFA members, as well as the marketing and promotional work we do.’
Collins Seafoods have been operating for over 45 years, and provide high quality Frozen at Sea products, including cod and haddock, which are caught, processed and frozen within a 4-to-6-hour window of the fish leaving the sea. This ensures that the taste, texture and quality is never compromised and seals in the 'taste of the sea'. They actively promote the use of sustainable fishing methods and offer full traceability on their products.
All of our FASFA members are passionate about the quality of its seafood: being in full control of the value chain starting with the vessels, processing to specification and supply, and delivering excellent value and full traceability to end customers. We welcome Collins Seafood to FASFA, which will help reinforce these messages and strengthen the work that we do.
