FREEZE THE FRESH, FRY THE BEST

Not all seafood media tells the full story — but we’re committed to sharing the facts about Frozen at Sea.

Thank you to Vilde, who works aboard our member vessel Ramoen for capturing and editing her video clips to support our campaign.

The first video from Vilde was edited for FASFA and shows the production on board - Frozen at Sea (FAS) fillets of cod, caught in the North Atlantic. And can be found on our website's video library page.

The Benefits of FAS Fillets:
• Caught in line with scientific and legislative recommendations for sustainable sourcing.
• Caught by state-of-the-art modern vessels that invest in technology and innovation. They are caught, processed, and frozen within four hours, helping lock in the fish's freshness and nutritional value.
• Represent a climate-smart food source of a wild-capture product with a low carbon footprint, providing a valuable protein for the increasing global population.
• Operate a hybrid approach on board the vessels, along with no catch waste, high crew welfare standards, continuous care of the catch, and ensuring a high-quality product.
